1 BAD LJ

« on: March 25, 2011, 10:38:45 PM »

Hey all,
This place is great, and to think I found it from a picture of a jeep sporting a SCUFF windshield sticker.
Anyways, I love being out in the dirt/rocks/mountians and have been either riding bikes/quads or driving some sort of 4x4 since I was about 12. Haha. Now I'm old and got two great girls and a awesome wife that let me get a new toy (new to me anyway) that is way more capable than I am. It's a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, or a 05 LJ Rubi for short. Haha. Well, I look forward to learning new tips/tricks from ya'll and possibly seeing some of you out on the trail sometime. Time to go check out some more of the site, take care.
-Oside

Oh yea, some pics of my ride:

Thanks for the welcome all!!!  Thanks

-96jeepspeed, nope, it's Keith.

I actually reacently got the LJ so am still learning things about it, but am loving all of it.
Kinda like I need to re-wire the compressor and the KC's (they were not to my liking, and the KC's did not even light up so I pulled them off the jeep til I can get on that), I need to get a complete parking brake assembly for the drivers side rear (it is not there, no springs, shoes, clips... nothing), I need new u-joints in the front D44 axle but am not sure exactly which ones I need. I have heard the 5-760x is the correct spicer joint, but then someone else said it was a special jeep joint that is used. Any info someone has on that would be a great help. I was told that this LJ had Alloy USA axles front and rear but I am not possitive. I can see the rears are for sure, but the fronts have that kinda stock rust look on the knuckles to them so...
Anyway, I can't wait to get more action shots of it to post up, maybe rolling with some of you all sometime. Take care, TTYL.

-Oside

One more just for fun...
