Gary
Encinitas
Stock 98 XJ w/lift kit in a box

Well, where do I start, orginally from Detroit, moved here in 1972 and never looked back.  Raced off road for a few years, met Steve Patag 30 years ago and lately have been spotting and doing runs with that group.  Had to go back to Indianapolis to care for my mother for 5 years and got onto wheel'n.  One year I went 37ish times to Badlands and Redbird and one hellish trip to Harlan Tenn.  Sorta ran into hard times so my build will take some time.

thanks for having me

Gary C

P.S.  I play only on the womans team.  Don't listen to anyone else, lol....

Welcome to the Scuff Gary  Welcome

Great bunch of guys here with one main focus, 4x4's.
Look around and get comfortable with the forum then jump in and get busy posting.

The economy is squeezing a lot of us. The trick is to do what you can with what you got. That is what makes the Scuff so valuable, ask around and do your research here then buy the correct part the first time and only once. ThumbUp Check out the great deals in the classifieds for money saving deals.  ThumbUp Then keep and eye out for wheeling trips close by so that  $4.00 a gallon gas goes a bit farther. ThumbUp

Again welcome Welcome

Did you know Mark Hansen, Malcolm Vinje or others from North San Diego County with Los Campeones Racing Team? I raced Class 6 in the '79 1000 (Datsun 510) and was a pit captain for Baja and Parker races from '78 to '83 or so.

Tomorrow is the Baja 500... I was invited to party up with the Mag 7 pit team, but I am staying home this time... Was in Baja last weekend.
 Enjoying the beach...

I got some emails and photos from Johnny Johnson recently (last couple of years) who has been living on a yacht/ sail boat in the Sea of Cortez. Been seen in La Paz and Loreto I believe. I saw Malcolm a couple years ago at our Viking Fish Club dinner in Vista.
