I and my 82 Cherokee Chief are about to be Stationed down on North Island. I am a total outdoors Nut who is not vary sure about moving to the big city. She is My day to day driver as well as  my toy. There are a few small mods, Cummins 6BT turbo diesel. Dana 60 axles, and a spring over conversion with 63In Chevy springs. the Axles and springs are a work in progress but should be done buy the time i Get down there in Oct. I was wondering what kind of tires you boys like to run on your street/trail rigs? up hear the BFG all trains do a decent enough job but its logs and mud not sand and stone. Hope to see and wheel with you guys soon. any advice on improvements would be great!

Welcome to the SCUFF Welcome

Always room for another FSJ here! And yes I want to get my eyeballs under that hood and see how the 6bt fits in person! Unless your a serious rock crawler looks like your rig is perfect!  Thanks again for checking in and joining in. You might want to add your name to our FSJ list of members...

Welcome to SD, There are a few of us FSJ's here, AT's will get you just about any where you want to/need to go but there are a few of us running some type of mudder. IMHO they seem to grip the rocks around here nicely.

Welcome to the SCUFF.  You've got a rig that will get you just about anywhere you want to go around here.  If you find yourself having trouble with traction you could always add a locker or two.  I also recomend a light mud type tire.  Nothing too aggressive if your gonna daily drive it.  Again welcome!!! Cheers

Or you'll just have to wate till late Oct. heck we could have a meet and great or Halloween run and let all of you take a peek at once. ill look at a mild mud tire thanks for the tip.

I never want to exclude anybody but I sure would like to get all the FSJ's together at some point and time... Maybe your Halloween M&G should be the time for that... That would be a Scarry enough for halloween. LMAO

Hey, welcome, or soon to be welcome to San Diego.  Glad to see another FSJ join the mix.  I think you will like it out here if you like the desert and lot of brown and rocks.  Either way, you will be surprised how well your Jeep will do out here with a few minor mods.  What do you do in the Navy?  I am stationed on the USS  John Paul Jones myself.  There are a few other Navy guys here as well.  Let me know if you need anything while you transition down here.  I would be happy to help.  And once your settled, we need a FSJ meet and greet/ run.  Hopefully, I will have my Jeep back together by then, but I am not holding my breath.
