A few years back and almost 3 million pages views ago Desert Crawler and I started this forum with the intent of getting local 4x4'ers together in a friendly neighborly way. As most of you know I hate flammers, Know it all's, and those guys that think their 001_9898 don't stink. I remember going on Pirate one night and just getting pummeled by a few of Pirates finest for asking a basic question. After realizing that they were the norm over there I took them up on their offer to start my own forum. A forum that I could run anyway I wanted. I did it and loved doing it. Over the past 2 years I have fought hard the temptation to turn scuff into a commercial type of site, my fear was that it would turn into exactly what I was trying to get away from. Thanks to the Mods, punk each one of them has kept us from going there. It is those guys that keep this place a safe place to ask stupid queations with out the fear of being embarrased or hurrased all the while keeping the content safe for the Kids and Mama.  As a result of Scuff I have met some of the coolest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet.  My hope is to remain close to them and continue those great relationships. With that said I think the next step for the SCUFF is to go commercial and open it up to advertising. Im not interested in pursuing that avenue. Brandon has been our admin for along time now and I have been lagging in my duty's in finding another service provider, Brandon will be letting his server go soon so Scuff needs to find a new home soon. Brandon I cant tell you how much I have appreciated both the time and effort you've poured into this forum. Your expertise has kept us a float for a long time, Thank You!    Mods, well you guys suck!   LMAO  just kidding! Thanks to all you guys for keeping things going smoothly over the years. Heck I don?t think we got to ban more than a hand full of members, but each and every one of them deserved it, Right?  ThumbUp    Your all class acts and I appreciate what each and everyone of you has done over the years.   Drink   It would be very wrong to jump ship and not throw out a big thanks to StvDiego as well. When things got really hairy here he was here to bail us out , he saved the day more than once. I also would like to thank Desert Crawler for all the hours he spent teaching me how this forum thing works. He basically set this place up as well as doing all the photoshop work on the headers. Without his computer savey none of this would have ever happened, thanks Robert and everyone else who has had a part in the Scuff.

While I will never leave Scuff completly I do need to free up some of my time to pursue other interests that I have been chewing on for along time now. Yes it is 4x4 related and in my opinion way cool, so much so that I am willing to let the Scuff go to a new custodial parent.

So with that said, Is there anyone who would like to take the forum over as their baby?  It?s a great little forum and off to a good start to being a spectacular forum. I'm not looking to get anything out of it, I'm just looking to turn it over to some cool cat that can improve on it and grow it to its potential. I would like a life time membership though?  If you?re interested please respond to me via P.M and we can discuss what is involved and no later than the 4th of August. I would prefer to turn it over to someone here that we know, opposed to an outsider.

Well that's about it, and no I haven't been drinking.

Thanks for a great run guys! God Bless and remember Change Is Opportunity.   ThumbUp

Happy Brifday Bob!, Thanks for putting this little party together. If it not been for SCUFF I would not have enjoyed the offroading community as much as I have and not been able to meet some of the coolest wheelers in SoCal. Just wondering though,, are we still gonna have to keep an eye out for "that one guy"?

Funny you should ask that... Some would say he is leaving?  While others say maybe with the new guy at the wheel he wont be around long? Either way you always need to keep one of those guys around so you can truly appreciate the good normal folk... So my guess is that that guy will be here for a while!  ThumbUp LMAO

Wow!!!

First, let me say Happy Birthday M.T.  I hope that you have an enjoyable birthday, you of all people deserve it.

Second, let me say thank you.  You have been a true Ambassitor of the Off Roading community within the SOCAL area.  Thank you for creating a community where the new guy feels just as welcome as the seasoned old guy.  The Off Road community tends to have a very abbrasive, adrinilan junky type persona, but I think SCUFF has really done a great job of breaking through that mold and showing another family friendly side to the sport.  That is the vision you had and you carried it out well.  I have made some really great friends through SCUFF, and have yet to find someone withing SCUFF that I wouldn't wheel/ hang out with again.  That says a lot for this community.

Third, let me say thank you again.  You have been a great friend, and I hope I have been half the friend to you as you been to me.  Thank you for all the support you offered.  I hae enjoyed watching you in action making things that seem impossible to me seem like childs play in your hands.

Lastly, please don't go away.  Even if you are not El Presedente anymore, you still need to be a part of SCUFF.  I know work has you pretty busy, and I am sure other hobbies need to be done, but I am still looking forward to a run with you. Whoever takes over the board, has big shoes to fill.

Bob Happy B-day first off, and thanks for all the work you've put into SCUFF it's a great local forum. I've only been here a short time but I've met some down to earth people here who are from the old school of wheeling  "Lets just go wheeling & have fun" Hope to see you out on the trail. Cheers

I just want to say thanks MT for starting this forum. It's like no other. I started on this forum 2 1/2 years ago when I messed up my truck at CC. It's still not fixed. One day I will get it fixed and go wheelin with you people. Glad to see the forum is still going to be here, but you made this place what it is today and hope who ever takes over keeps it along the same lines that you have. Just like everone has said there will be some big shoes to fill. Good luck with your other interests and see ya on the trail. ThumbUp  rockon  Cheers  Thanks  happybday
