Expedition Storage in the Desert Hippo...

After this weekends short trip to the desert I realized the need for better storage for food, clothing, tools, etc. I was thinking about a false floor that would be strong enough to sleep on and tall enough to store things in between the two floors. Any thoughts or advice on what to do, or not to do?  I was half way thinking about building it tall enough to hide my spare tire under it... TDay

Do something like this, but make a solid floor all the way across

^^Yep my thoughts exactly.  That way you can still get to the stuff in the floor without moving all of the stuff on the floor.

Yeah, that looks good. I guess you could still put access holes in the floor and then you could use it either way, pull out or access from inside. Im also liking the cot thing that Just Chad did. The jeep is built a little differently so I think a full sized cot with slide in legs might be the answer for me. Hummmmm   Im thinking instead of drawer roller system im thinking that Teflon sliders might work just as well especially as seldom  as it will be used. Seems the rollers tracks would always have dirt and sand in them being I always roll with all my windows down.   dooh clown
