The US Forest Service Cleveland National Forest, which includes Corral Canyon, is accepting public input on possible OHV trail changes. They have prepared three plans, one which maintains the status quo and two that would add additional trails in the CNF and Corral Canyon (close to 5 miles on plan three).

The link below has more details and a comment form for public input. Please take some time to look through the plans and send your comments to the NFS. There is a lot of eco-opposition to adding any off-road areas, we must make our voices heard. Comments must be posted by August 13th, my apologies for the ultra-late notice but I just got the e-mail about this tonight.

I kinda like alternative three

Steve could you draft up a letter that we could all use to send in ,or do you think that it would be better to have everyone draft their own?
And alt 3 looks the best as well

This is a link to the .pdf attachment I got with the notice from San Diego off Road Coalition with a sample letter and the e-mail address to send it to.

Short and sweet, my experience is that long letters don't make much difference, in fact, the shorter the letter the more likely it will be read. Form letters are fine. many years ago I was a volunteer in a local politcians office and letters are always checked by staff, a very select few are forwarded to the HMFIC all the rest are tallied up X# Pro/X# Con and that's what really matters. You'd be surprised by how few letters are usually sent in causes like this. Themore we can get out there the better
