OK Here It Is! Here is the latest on the Adopt a Trail Program. I hate to be the serious one here, but I truly believe that if I sign this commitment that we need to honestly commit to the program. I realize that we all have to do family things, work things, and so on. So I'm going to ask who here besides myself is willing to make this a priority two times a year. I realize we all have better things to do on the week ends, but I believe there are few things more important to do than to invest in our future, recreation, and sport. Please give this some serious thought before you sign up. If you truly will do it, then welcome. If you don't have any intention in following through, then don't sign up! We need a realistic idea of how many to expect before signing the agreement. I know its impossible to commit without dates. We will make every effort to man enough people that you should only have to work one of the 2 days a year. Our hope is that you can work one of those days into your schedule.
If you are one of those that has a little time on your hands and would like to head up this program please let me know. Its fairly straight forward and I know from past experience that Richard is very easy to work with. I have a lot on my plate right now and quite honestly I don't have the time to do all the logestics. If interested please PM me.
The following is the last response from Richard Tull to me. The second half is the agreement between SCUFF and the Cleveland National Forest Svc. Please read it and respond if you wish to take part in this program. Thanks M.T.
Robert,
Here it the form I used for SDAR. I am Looking forward to your folks participating in stewardship of the area.
Best wishes

What I would like to do is turn this adopt a trail into a two day event. There are two primitive camp grounds up at Corral Cyn. Id like to schedule Saturday morning for a trail work party. stop and have lunch and a little R&R time. Shortly after that do a fairly challenging Run. come back to camp do the dinner thing a little more R&R. Then do a night run for those who would want to go. Camp out and start Sunday morning and finish up the trail maintenance by around noon. Do another run, sit and relax , or even leave? How does that sounds? And we need a good SCUFF event name for this... any suggestions?

Makes sense to me. Do we know what sort of work needs to be done and what tools we will need? Or, is that all TBD based on conditions at the time?
In any case count me in!

To Be announced... To be honest I think there will be a little bit of bush trimming and trash pick up.

Im not sure what will be needed? Im guessing more trash pick up and bush trimming more than anything? We will see down the road... First we need enough people to commit to this thing.

A date for what? Ive got the application to send in. Then we need someone to step up and take this thing on as a contact person. Then we wait to see how long the application approval process takes. Then we will find out what trails we will take care of. Then we set a work date and notify the park 2 weeks prior . Then we do our thing.... All of this hinges on getting enough people willing to invest time into their sport.... Sign up! Im convienced that you folks dont understand how close we are to loosing a lot of our off road areas. Get proactive some how! I cant think of an easier way than this to at least do something to help...In 10 years this little park might be the only place for the thousands of us to wheel. We better take care of it now.

I 99% sure they dont like power tools of any kind. But the basics like loppers, shears, shovels, ect would probably be a good thing.
