I am looking at putting tube fenders on my the front TJ.  Does anyone have any good or bad thing to say about doing this? I have a guy that will install them. I have looked at a few of vendors on the internet that make them.

That is the very reason that I would love to have a set of them http://www.tntcustoms.com/treks_home.asp I really like these since they have the inner fenders built in. I saw a set of them this year at the Big Bear Forest Fest on an unlimited with 6" flares very well built.

I went to buy some fenders yesterday. Did not go as planned. Poison Spiders are not available any more through 4 wheel parts. I like the Gen Right, or the TnT fenders, but I need to see them in person before I order them. If anyone has some on their TJ I would like to take a look at them.

I least I didn't leave empty handed. I picked up some windshield light brackets, and some Hella 9 inchers. But the plug on the back of the light hits the bracket! I will need to modify the bracket or get the Pro Comp lights.

Anyone have any coments on the Pro Comp 9911 lights?

I've been looking into the tube fenders as well. JP Mag. did an article on GenRite Hi-Fender Tube Fenders. Looks hot they fit 40" tires on a YJ with no lift. Now I need to commit (Just Empty Every Pocket)

I am close to going "all in" on all four corners from TnT. I really like the idea of new inner fenders. I looked at thier rear corners, they have a 2.5 inch larger than stock opening. That would cure my other problem. I am holding on to my wallet for as long as I can. But I don't know how much loner I can hold out.

We started installiing the fronts yesterday. This is giong to be more difficult than I had thought. By using fenders with new fender wells you have to to a lot more work. I am sure the end result will be well worth it. I will be taking pictures and posting them as we go. Maybe someone without Cox will let me do it there. I got droped a dozen times just writing this.

Can't wait to see the pics, I've been debating on tube fenders with and without wells for just that fact of relocating everything bolted to them under the hood.  One hand is you take off good stock fenders and sell them to recover cost or keep good spares, the other hand is cutting up (in my case) perfectly good fenders and not have to touch the stuff bolted to them.  I have decided to wait till i take damage to them and then cut them up and put on new tube fenders.

I had the same decision to make. Mine was easy because the top of my fenders were tweeked from flexing. So I don't thing my old fenders are worth much. I am hoping the new inner fender wells will have enough room to mount some sealed beam LED flush in the wells (rock lights). I have been looking for some LEDs to mount in the bottom of the grill to replace the blinkers, kinda like a newer version of a CJ. The only ones I have found are 2.5 clearance lights (too small, not bright ) or 4 inch tail lights (too big)

After a long day of work the front fenders are on. The rear corners showed up on Friday and they look real nice. I hope to have all the fitting done, and everything at the powder coat shop by the end of the week.

I want to thank Dwight Brinkerhoff for all the work he is doing with this mod. If anyone is considering a gear change or lockers, check him out. He can do everythig else too. Last year he did my ARBs.

I brought my camera with me today, so I plan on taking pictures later...
