Does anybody know if there is a home style repair for a lost lug? Id like to run this wheel... but maybe its just meant to be a spare? The internal smooth layer is exposed...

I'm no expert but I'm thinking spare for sure. I've never heard of people putting them back on.

I havnt either? It really dosnt matter being I dont have the lug... It was left as an offering to the desert Gods. LOL     I didnt rip it apart. I got that tire in trade with 3 others that are in good shape . Im just so darn cheap i didnt want to get another one unless there was no way to get by.
