This is my son's jeep. A few years ago he built everything that he wanted. Then the night of finals someone stole it out of his driveway and now he's starting all over again. This is the replacement.

The replacement:

Thanks. Since I took the pictures I made a stinger for the front and rock sliders. The plans for it next are to build a roof rack with a light bar built into it. I was thinking about hooking up an actuator to the light bar so I could adjust the lights if needed. Not only would it be kind of a Bling thing but it seems that it could be very practical for 4x4 at night.

That sucks... but then turned cool again. Its all good as long as you end up with a Jeep (or something to wheel). 8)

Which one? The black one is cool just because you can take the front on/off and leave the back half on/off the jeep.

Sucks that someone stole his rig. And that Black Jeep looks SWEET (I like black Jeeps). And one good thing about it he can re-build without any mistakes (or things he did not like about the first one)...OR just build it better.

I have a CLUB for my steering wheel and recommend he purchases one too. I know that they are not full proof to someone that really want to steal but it make it just a bit harder for them to steal. Alarms and/or kill switch also works.

I really liked that roof rack because it helped with the room issue that jeeps typically have. It was also really cool to have because when you took the hard top off, the floor of the roof rack acted like a bikini top which kept the sun off of you.

Thanks Jim! We are going to use an electric actuator to control the light angles. Why be stuck in the Stone Age? LOL We are at the shop today while its kind of quiet working on his tire carrier... Its looking good.

Well, Now I see why you and MT were so interested in my shifter lock yesterday.......
.
I also designed a Pedal lock that's on my Van........both locks smaller than than a 40'oz Beer.
.
will probably make the pedal lock for the jeep also, for when I park it for more than just a couple of days. (Double Down)
.
I'll do a Post Later for everyone here, with Pic's  .........." Lock-Tight" ..........stay tuned.
.
Of course you or anyone here wants help or a idea on how to Lock it up........ I'm There.
.
Sorry for your Loss,  I'm sure she was dear to you.

Great thinking Dirty-D. The Jeep wasnt the first vehicle  that left our family... We have lost 3 vehicles to thieves!!! Protect your investments!
